Our Name is the stars
Narrative Driven Space Game
What is it?
Created as a senior capstone project, "our name is the stars" is a narrative driven space Adventure centered around exploration. With the help of your friends and various ship tools gathered along the way, you travel system to system solving the mystery of the disappearance of your father.
What Have I done?
- Oversaw and engineered all player movement and abilities
- designed and engineered systems to make space flight more engaging
- Coalesced all of the game input scripts into a single robust and maintainable input system
- created controller support and have iterated on numerous control schemes for the best player experience
- kept up to date documentation on player controls
Where can you play it?
Space FM is still in development and will not be released until later in may of 2024. An early look at the title will be presented to the public at the Peoria riverfront museum for fuse 2024. The latest build of the game can also be found on the itch.io page below.
